The First Year Mentoring Program (FYMP) is a non-credit opportunity for first-year students focused on assisting them in their transition to CSU. First Year Mentoring Program groups are made up of one upper-class Peer Mentor, a Faculty/Staff Mentor and a small group (approximately 5-25) of first year students. Groups meet regularly throughout the fall semester (weekly or every other week) and are based upon an interest, passion or identity to help build small communities for new students as they begin their college experience.

The Transfer Year Mentoring Program is a non-credit opportunity focused on assisting transfer students in their transition to CSU. Transfer Mentors work together to create opportunities for new transfer students to network at events and through intramural sports teams, as well as create TRANSFORM, the new Transfer Student Newsletter, and reach out to students on a one-on-one basis through email and personal meetings. Ultimately, Transfer Mentors are resources for incoming transfer students and offer them a means of getting connected on campus right away!

Registration is now open for this year's Getting to Year 2 @ CSU Conference!
This year's Getting to Year 2 @ CSU Conference will take place on February 21-22, 2012!
Getting to Year 2 @ CSU is a two day conference in the Lory Student Center for first year students (in their second semester). Students are able to select breakout sessions to attend throughout the day.
Sessions provide students with information and resources to assist students with the transition to a second year at CSU and include academic skills, transitioning to off-campus life, study abroad opportunities, how to be successful in the classroom, and much more!!
